Personal Counselling assists you to solve life issues, set goals, and provides the professional support to achieve them. The task of Personal Therapy is to give you an opportunity to explore, discover and clarify ways of living more satisfying, resourceful and meaningful lives.

We see a range of people from all walks of life, different backgrounds and ages. You may be seeking assistance to discuss an everyday issue that is bothering your well-being. You may also want to deal with issues that have been causing you distress for years.

Aging Positively! As we age, we face new and different challenges, such as decisions about retirement, care, accommodation, wills and conflicts within the family. It is essential to find new ways to cope with grief and loss, depression, loneliness and emptiness as these occurrences have a significant impact on well-being and quality of life. At Choice you can discuss these challenges with a mature consultant who understands this journey. We assist you to cope with stress, change, conflict and relationship issues, perhaps with adult children and your partners. We are here to help you to lead to more positive aging and have a happier and fulfilled later life.

Do you ask yourself who you are? A sense of inadequacy often leads to the question "Who am I?". It could happen at any stage of your life, typically during your younger age, when you are struggling with your identity and are searching for a core sense of yourself. The emphasis shouldn't be on discovering who you are (what is buried beneath) but on what you'd like to experience in your life. The goal then is to access that potential, keeping the parts of your identity that continue to serve you well and shedding the old, habitual pieces that constrain you.

Self-awareness allows you to understand other people, how they perceive you, your attitude and your responses to them in the moment. Self-awareness is the first step in creating what you want and mastering your life. Making changes in your behaviour is much easier to do when you catch them early in the dynamic, before the momentum of thought and emotion has gathered steam.
